SOLAR POWER PLANT AT THE “VODOKANAL” WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY, ARTSIZ

By implementing the project, the community will not only safeguard residents and the environment but also ensure the uninterrupted operation of vital infrastructure during crisis situations.

Site Description

  • Municipal Enterprise: Vodokanal Artsiz (operating since 2003)

  • Reconstruction of wastewater facilities: Ongoing since 2024, expected completion – July 2025

  • Treatment capacity: 2,000 m³/day

  • Estimated annual electricity consumption (post-reconstruction): 446,800 kWh

  • Community population: 31,000 people, including 955 internally displaced persons

  • Community area: 770 km²

  • Settlements served: 13

  • Water supply coverage: 7,200 subscribers

  • Sewage system coverage: 3,759 households and 153 legal entities

Current Status

  • Reconstruction start date: 2024

  • Estimated completion: July 2025

  • Funding secured by: European Investment Bank and Government of Ukraine
