Architectural and planning solutions

The main entrance is located on the second floor, which is a feature of the architectural and planning solution due to the building’s location on the relief.

Functionally, the building has floor (vertical) and horizontal (within one floor) zoning.

  • The ground floor is primarily intended for medical and rehabilitation purposes.
  • The second floor has a health and recreational function.

The building structure includes horizontal and vertical communications. The multifunctional complex is equipped with two emergency exits from each floor.

The planning solutions take into account the requirements of inclusiveness for people with limited mobility, namely barrier-free communication on all floors of the building, as well as an elevator, bathrooms, parking spaces, etc.

Project details

The figurative and compositional organisation of the object was developed in accordance with the existing natural landscape features. This building is located on a site with a relief that has a drop of up to 4 m, so the general concept of forming takes into account the factor of the relief slope and the volume is inscribed in the existing situation.

The designed building has a compact form, built in a radial-ring planning configuration. This compact form makes it possible to meet functional and economic needs to the maximum extent possible. The volume of the building is two-storey, the height of the floors is variable.

The peculiarity of the compositional solution is the use of an overhanging console with a large volume of panoramic glazing, which houses the main function of the building. This technique is optimal for a particular relief, thus forming the dominant feature of the main volume, in the interior of which a visual panorama of the external landscape opens up.

Project details

The building’s facades are designed using panoramic glazing systems combined with blind volumes of facade structures. Solid glazing is used in the large general-purpose common areas. A special feature of the façade solutions is the use of decorative elements of plastic curvilinear configuration, which create a modern futuristic image of the building and emphasise the uniqueness of its functional purpose. The colour scheme of the building is laconic, designed in a combination of white local colour of the facade planes with elements of solid glazing.

Overhead lighting was used to enhance the expressiveness of the compositional solution of the interiors and to increase the illumination of large halls. This lighting is organised through the arrangement of window openings in the roof structure, which are radially located along the roof volume. These openings are also decorated in accordance with the facade solutions, i.e. plastic decorative elements are used.

The central communication space in the central part of the building is dominated by a domed structure that forms an atrium-like illuminated space and is the core of the building’s architectural composition.
